She started her career in acting at the age of four. At the age of four she was very imaginative. Tara began her first stint as a soloist in a school production. She began performing in the Yiddish Theatre, having no prior idea about Yiddish and, amazingly, had achieved her character in a remarkable manner, despite having to memorize every line in her script. She also performed in "A Night of Star" at the Toronto Jewish Theatre. After attending a school for playing the arts and performing in professional theatre, her first role was "The Role of Gracie" which she acted in the Limelight Theatre's production of The Music Man at the age of 13.
