MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His work has led to major international advancements into Latin pop culture. In the year 2017, his 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. In 2017, he released ADN which was his debut long-player in the name of La Industria Inc. in Medellin. It peaked at 8 spots on the Top Latin Albums charts. The following year he joined Ozuna in his Top Five smash Vaina Loca. He released in 2020 the album that charted Dopamina and also collaborated on Mala Influencia together with Noriel. The singer appeared in 2021 in a duet with TINI on her streaming hit song Maldita Foto. 2000 saw him perform the hit song La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo came from a musical family both his parents are musicians. Interviews with him have described the music he plays as a compulsory activity. In his childhood he was instructed to perform on the piano, saxophone as well as guitar. When his original career plan was a career as a vet the brother Julian advised him to go for singing lessons from an Cuban teacher and the end result personally discovering his talent as a singer altered his entire life.
