MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major global inroads into the Latin pop scene. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in the year 2017. The singer released his first long-player ADN for Sony's Medellin-based subsidiary La Industria Inc. It reached the top 8 spot according to the Top Latin Albums Chart. He then joined Ozuna on The Top Five smash Vaina Loca. In the year 2020, he debuted the chart-topping sophomore album Dopamina and also collaborated on Mala Influencia alongside Noriel. In 2021, he appeared as a duo with TINI on her top streaming song Maldita Foto. 2000 which included the smash hit La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo was raised in music-loving family. His father and brother are also musicians. Turizo has told interviews that music is compulsory. Growing up, he instructed to play the saxophone, piano as well as guitar. Although his first choice of career was a career as a vet his brother Julian advised him to go for singing classes with an Cuban instructor. As a result of recognizing his gift as a musician changed the course of his life.
